At Tonno Nero, Chef Jake Abbott reunites with Chef Joe Anthony, bringing together a shared culinary history shaped by years in New York City’s acclaimed kitchens. Having worked alongside one another at the two-Michelin-starred Gabriel Kreuther, the two chefs bring a mutual respect for exceptional ingredients, refined technique and a curiosity for pushing culinary boundaries.

Abbott’s career has taken him through some of New York’s most celebrated restaurants, where he honed his craft alongside renowned chefs including Anthony and Laurent Tourondel. His time at Gabriel Kreuther was particularly formative, sharpening the precision, discipline and creativity that continue to define his approach to cooking.

Most recently, Abbott served alongside Chef Joe Anthony at The Moore in Miami. Now, as Chef de Cuisine at Tonno Nero, he brings his experience and passion for seasonal ingredients to a kitchen where tradition meets fresh perspective.
